Apple Squash Bake

Apple Squash Bake

Ingredients:

- 1 Acorn squash, peeled and deseeded
- 1 Large Yam
- 1/2 cup raisins
- 1 Apple, cored, peeled or unpeeled (to taste)
- 1 Pear, cored, peeled or unpeeled (to taste)
- 1/2 cup apple juice
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp allspice
- 1 Pinch grated lemon and orange peel
- Canola oil

Directions:

-1- Cut vegetables and fruits into small pieces.
-2- Mix with juice, spices and peels.
-3- Place the mixture into an onvenproof container greased with canola oil.
-4- Bake, covered, in a 350-degree oven for 45 minutes.
-5- Remove cover and add more juice if necessary. You need enough liquid to keep it from burning, but no too much.
-6- Bake for at least 45 minutes more.
-7- The longer you bake it, the more the flavors blend. We this recommend for 1.5 hours more at 325 degrees.

Serving suggestions:

This comes out so sweet it can either be a side dish for a meal or a dessert.
